Sonya Palencia is an artist and animal lover.

        As a California native she embraced art, storytelling and nature as a child. She is a graduate of the Art Center College of Design (Pasadena, CA) with a distinction in Film & Fine Art and served 10 years in the film industry as a designer and sculptor. She enjoys exploring local history and traveling abroad to savor the classical arts. She and her husband/fellow artist Jeff Nentrup currently pursue their fine art on their ranch nestled within the California Los Padres National Wilderness.
